what's next? (random thoughts)

The Phone is dying, the scrolling, the tiktok 90 seconds video, the instagram reels, the social media as it is today will be replaced by a more extreme version of what is used today.

What will that be?

I believe that human beings are too intoxicated with current day technology and the current Gen Z-ers will still want what they have grown with (dopamine hits), but, it will evolve:

Voice & Augmented Glasses (with a dash of AI)



Weren't we here 10 years ago? Sure! I was even doing things with it too:


However, it was niche 10 years ago, a market had not been created, the foundations have now been laid & now it will start to evolve.


Digital will be the starter, then it will move to Analog.  What does that mean?


Things will start in the digital world, but then the technology will move to one side and the real-world will come into the equation more & more. For instance, people will connect in the digital world, but then move into the analog world - kind of like we used to do back in the good old days (lol) except we didn't have the digital part.


Gen Alpha will be the generation that need to be watched, they are wanting to get away from Gen Z, they want to separate themselves and backlash, they are not addicted to the dopamine hits that Gen Z has become addicted too.  So, what world will they grow up in and with?


This is where the next big thing to change society will come from.


AI will be in the equation somewhere along the equation - however, it will still be a tool, it is not authentic, it will be used as guidance but not dictatorship.



My idea of "YourMum" (or whatever I end up calling it!), where all the grunt work is done for you using AI (including Agents) to figure stuff out for you & then once you get the end result, you can choose from the end result, it won't do it all for you, but it'll do all the filtering / hard work for you.

"AI" should be doing all the time-consuming activities on your behalf, that is where I see "AI" helping humans, cut down on the all the pointless ADMIN that we currently burn our time on.

I best get some time allocated to this, really soon - I've missed the boat far too many times over the past couple of decades & I see a huge "market" where this can just help people, when I say "market", I am not looking at profit / sales, I'm just thinking society.  

People, real people, helping people with their lives. open-source.


I believe in 51 / 49.  I give more to help others, not about taking from others.  Let's change the world.

Weaviate Verba RAG with Node-Red & Ollama Engine

Been absent a while, have had many things to be focused on; however, this recent little nugget needed to be documented & shared, mainly because I did this on my personal laptop & I need to recreate it somewhere else and this mechanism just makes it easier - also, this might help someone else out too. Right, so what am I talking about? About a year ago I was doing some new stuff with LLMs and RAG (ingesting own documents as the data to use rather than the LLM training data) and it was okay-ish, it did the job.  Zoom forward a year and obviously things have moved on, quite a bit. The RAG tools & code have improved significantly, it still takes time to ingest though - haven't found a way to speed that part up, well, I'm focused on offline/airgapped/onpremise solutions, it could probably be faster if using a Cloud SaaS offering, but that is of no interest to me, so I'll accept the time it takes. Remote Working Data Annotation options - Digital Nomad

During the past, well, let's think, 10+ years, I've been involved in Machine Learning projects (okay, they call it "AI" now, but that's an argument for a different time) that require lots of data to be ingested / used to train the Machine Learning model. For instance, if it is text, we need lots of snippets of text that can then be categorised, so that the model "knows" that the 10 words grouped together in that context have a "meaning" and that meaning is labelled - this helps with questioning later on.
