what's next? (random thoughts)

Image
The Phone is dying, the scrolling, the tiktok 90 seconds video, the instagram reels, the social media as it is today will be replaced by a more extreme version of what is used today. What will that be? I believe that human beings are too intoxicated with current day technology and the current Gen Z-ers will still want what they have grown with (dopamine hits), but, it will evolve: Voice & Augmented Glasses (with a dash of AI) Weren't we here 10 years ago? Sure! I was even doing things with it too: However, it was niche 10 years ago, a market had not been created, the foundations have now been laid & now it will start to evolve. Digital will be the starter, then it will move to Analog.  What does that mean? Things will start in the digital world, but then the technology will move to one side and the real-world will come into the equation more & more. For instance, people will connect in the digital world, but then move into the analog world - kind of like we used to do b...

AgroTech - the next phase

Image
AgroTech - probably not a term you've heard of? it's pretty simple: Agricultural Technology (yes, I know the "o" replaced the "i", I didn't make the rules) Why am I interested in this?  Well. I like technology. No sh!t sherlock :-) I am also reaching a point in life where I am no longer being pushed / forced to adhere to Corporate World dictatorship, ie. the push for selling products / services and technologies for maximising profit.   Yes, I've worked in IT for over 30 years now, for over 100+ companies in a vast array of Industries, but now I'm looking at "give back", what can I do to help the world, help people, help communities, help the next generations to live & by live, I don't mean being slaves to a Corporate driven World run by Tech Bro's or multi-million dollar software companies that emulate the Pharma companies (they don't want to solve the problem as there is no money in that, but to keep the ball rolling a...

Hash checking similarities of text

Image
This isn't a new thing, it's probably not even used that much, although it should be.  I have a scenario where I'd like to get text, think of news articles from a variety of sources, maybe 4-5 or even 1-200!? and I would like to analyse the text and if certain trigger content is detected then notify me.   Such as, a major security breach has happened and it is being reported on multiple cyber security websites and I should action on it pretty fast - now, I don't want to get 1000 alert notifications of the same or similar thing, I would just like to get 1.  Or at least less than 10! I was pondering on how to do this and then duck.ai sprang to mind.  Why use duck.ai? well, it doesn't slurp what you are doing, it doesn't use any of the data for training, it's also free.  So, why not?! I gave it this prompt: If I have multiple sources reporting the same textual data, can you show how to create a hash-based change detection system with python that would identif...
